FCG051 – Paint the B-Roll, Donesies (feat. Jesse Spencer)

Jesse’s got mad chops and a LONG history in this business. He is known in the Bay Area as a “fixer” when you are stumped trying to get your project out the door, Jesse is the guy you go to. This is a long episode but Jesse is an extremely interesting dude. I thought about cutting it down but couldn’t pick anything to drop. So forgive me for taking so much of your time but I think you’ll enjoy Jesse Spencer.

Mid-Life Crisis? Maybe. A web designer needs a video in his website and the project changed his life. Gregory Bradley came to this industry late in life. Post 9/11 he was on the missing to make some changes in his life, and he probably never thought it would bring him here.

“its ok to make mistakes just don’t make errors.” A mistake is an unintentional departure but an error is an intentional departure.

“Change is inevitable but growth is optional.”

Adobe blackout? What is your plan if you can’t launch your CC license? Coincidentally, Oliver Peters penned this blog the same week that the Adobe Authentication servers locked many people out of their software. Its an interesting look at many apps that can be used to replace some of the Adobe Functionality. We also discuss the Magnetic Timeline and we learn a trick about how to “wake up” the seeming render bug that has been plaguing 10.1.1.

DCC050 – Taking My Parents to Burning Man (feat. Bryant “Spry Bry” Boesen)

“Taking My Parents to Burning Man” is the documentary project of Bry Boesen. Shot in 2012 this doc follows SpryBry, as he is known on Instagram and Facebook, thru the entire build up and the life changing experience that he had with his parents as they explore the playa together. This is a story about extreme filmmaking as well as a story about how to be open minded and live by your principles. It also may be the only interview we ever do where the phrase, “We’re going to shoot you in the back if you try to run!” is heard.
